The disco below the lobby at The Leela is huge with three semi-private lounges, state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment and a cigar divan too. Watch your favourite sports event over a drink or let your hair down at the dance floor with the DJ playing lounge music up to 10pm, and hip-hop, house and techno later in the evening. BEHIND BAR SNACKS, SALADS Timings: 9.30 onwards Round the Year This spacious disco at the Clarion is done up in black and yellow – unique décor with life-size pictures of Bollywood and Hollywood celebrities looking prominent on the black walls, and pillars glowing with yellow lights. It’s a very special ambience, although the current makeover plans have made the services a little haphazard. The disco, where you could get to hear live music on specific days, is open to outsiders as well as in-house guests – take your pick from snacks and salads and your choice of cocktails. CLUB EUTOPIA

A haunt for locals, regulars and tourists who know it, Club Eutopia, which is part of Woodbourne Country Club at Nuvem, is a good place to listen to some hip-hop, house, rock and R&B. It’s open only during season, and the fun starts 9pm onwards. Cover charges are pegged at Rs.200 and above.

GATSBY’S MULTICUISINE Timings: 8pm till morning Round the Year This discotheque has a multicuisine restaurant attached to it, and an air-conditioned dance floor. You could get to hear both Indian and Western music while you choose from their exotic cocktails including Margarita, Singapore Sling, Brandy Alexander and Blue Lagoon. GRAVITY POOL

This place, inside Radisson, is not just for partying but for other kinds of entertainment as well – a discotheque with a bowling alley, a pool table, video games and a mini theatre are also attached to it. Listen to DJ music and watch the Russian dancers while you are at Gravity Pool, sipping cocktails like Sea Breeze, Green Elephant Walking and Magic Muslin. The place is open to in-house guests as well as outsiders, and cover charges are pegged at Rs.300 per couple for outsiders. Stags are not allowed.

PARTY ZONE SNACKS Timings: 8.30pm to 11.30pm Round the Year Party Zone at Holiday Inn has wooden floors with psychedelic lights – classy décor, in a nutshell. The fun begins at 8.30pm and goes on till midnight – jive to DJ music while you sip cocktails like Cosmopolitan, Long Island Ice Tea, New England Ice Tea and Margaritas. This disco, which has a pool table and a casino attached to it, is part of Kenilworth Resort at Utorda. Partytime starts early – listen to retro, jazz, rock’n-roll and hip-hop to your heart’s content while you try out their variety of cocktails – Fourth of July, Snake Coffee, Mojitos, White Rum Bisk Cocktail and Capriozka. The cover charges here are Rs.200 per couple for weekdays and Rs.500 for weekends – that’s only for outsiders.

SATURDAYS SNACKS Timings: 9.30pm till morning Round the Year Saturdays claims to be the first disco in Goa – a disco with a DJ Cabin, a bar counter and a dance floor of course. It’s projected as the 24/7 party zone where DJs play Indi-pop, rock and the works. During the day, Saturdays turns into an aerobics training floor.
